In today’s lesson we were introduced tracking and basic text animation which are both techniques used in post production projects and kinetic typography’s. Tracking is a technique which combines two video files together and form them into one so that they both result in the same motion. such as, if you had video footage of someone waving their hand, when imported into after effects you could create a text layer on top and add motion tracking so that the text moves in the same motion as the hand. we were shown a couple of examples to work on which are posted below.
We were then shown a few basic ways of animating text using effects such as blur, motion sketch and wiggle. These will come in use when developing my post production project.
